Repeater is utilized to fill up the radio service hole spots such as in-buildings,
underground and tunnels to cover its service area so that it enable Operator to maintain
a service availability and stability
Depending on building type and coverage area, a system administrator can apply a
various type/size of Repeaters to cover such service hole areas. The Repeater receives
signals from the base station by donor antenna, amplifies the signals and re-transmits it to
one or other mobile terminals via service antenna or another sub-radio units through either RF
or Fiber Optic cable path and vice versa
Moreover, if more capacity is needed in the future, Operator can replace the Repeater
with a base station and then re-install the replaced Repeater in another service area.
